Simply put, Ash Ave is the absolute best in the valley for comic people that value curation, friendliness, and appreciation for the medium we all love so much. Of course there are plenty of new releases, wall books, and back issues, but what really makes Ash Ave stand out is the incredible selection of indie comics. There are countless books available from local artists and creators, and the owner sources and stocks amazing books from incredibly talented creators constantly. I can't even count the number of indie books and creators I've discovered through Ash Ave that I otherwise would've never even heard of. One time years ago, before I even had a subscription box at Ash Ave, I was looking for specific variant covers of a limited series that was starting to gain traction and seeing a sudden increase in price. I was ready to pay a premium, and when I asked if the shop had any issues left, the owner went up to their stock room and found the exact issue I was looking for with the exact cover I was collecting. I braced myself for the price and to my surprise, he sold it to me at cover price with no markup whatsoever -- even knowing that it was going for five times the price online. I feel so incredibly lucky to have an LCS as awesome as Ash Ave!”
