“Rodman's rocks! As an mtg fan, this is the best place in the area to browse singles. They have a ton and are all organized by set in binders behind the counter. Just ask to see one! I really liked browsing singles here because it was a relaxed, low pressure environment and I felt that I could take as long as I wanted. The pricing on singles goes by what is on TCGPlayer which is extremely fair and standard. Its nice to know you are getting market price and not just what someone stuck on a sticker. They did not have any mtg booster packs when I was there but they did have mystery booster packs that Rodman had put together for about $7. These were very fun to open and have a guaranteed rarity level hit (I think rare or better?). I dont know a thing about comics but there was a single issue I had seen on the internet that I wanted and Rodman was extremely helpful in orienting me to the store and comics in general. The best thing about this place is the owner Rodman who is very friendly, kind, and helpful. He is a patient person that obviously has a passion for what he does. He has curated an awesome store and I highly recommend a visit.”

“I went in here for my first time the other night to see if the gentleman was interested in purchasing any of my comic books. He wasn't interested in any of them at the time but a customer walked in looking for some comic books that I happened to actually have. The owner of the comic store was so awesome he allowed that customer to purchase comics from me. He was very informational as well and taught me a lot. I would definitely recommend going here for any of your comic amongst other items that he has for sale. Super nice man. The store was well-organized as well.”

“Cozy comic store in the heart of Ankeny. Wide selection of new comic books from not just the big 3 publishers (DC, Image, and Marvel) but also from the smaller guys such as Antarctic Press, AWA, Dynamite, Zenescope, and others. They also have a large selection of vintage comic books, graded comic books, and those hard to find 1:10, 1:25, and 1:50 comic covers. Rod, the proprietor, is a friendly guy. Always willing to chat about comics, magic cards, heroclix, designing stores with wide aisles and tall ceilings, and of course the weather. A friendly place that reminds me of the old Cheers TV show without the alcohol.”

“I've been wanting to go here for awhile, but what I didn't know was "awhile" meant 12 years?! 😳 😆 It's very close to my parent's place, but I'm always so busy and on the clock. Not that this visit was any different as my parents put me to work, BUTT I did have a chance to stop by and this place did NOT disappoint! It's got everything you want and everything you don't need, just what a comic book store should be. 1st time I met Rod, and the nice young lady, and they were super friendly. I wanted to buy a bunch of things, but limited myself to a few. 😏😆However, I ended up staying late to get things done and went back AGAIN! I highly recommend this place! 🔥 💪🏾 💯 ❤️”
