“This review is way overdue. Second Chance Video Games has become more than just a game store to me — it’s a place I genuinely look forward to visiting, nearly every week. A huge part of my collection has come from this shop, and somehow I always manage to find another retro treasure every time I walk through the door. Jay, the owner, is one of the good ones: fair, knowledgeable, and always willing to work with you on a deal. At this point, going there feels less like shopping and more like hanging out at a buddy’s house… except I usually leave with an awesome piece of gaming history. If you’re into retro gaming, this place is absolutely worth the trip.”

“First off, i just want to say this is the most honest and chill video game shop ive ever been to... Jay has treated me so well since ive started to go there. Prices are more than fair. As far as trade ins, he is the most fair around. He has given me 2x/3x more for things than other places around and is super fair. You can tell he values his customers and business. Further, if you need a console or handheld repaired, this is also the place. Have had several customizations and repairs on vintage handhelds and the work is amazing. My girlfriends consoles were fixed and modified also, and she loves them. I truly value this business and Jay and am happy to always come back. “When I first discovered Second chance, they were in Lynn. Cozy little place with lots of goodies for gaming Now we have the upgrade you’ve been waiting for. The best game store in MA, period. Jay is like us game lovers of the 80’s and 90’s. He not only knows how to run a business, but he plays the games like we do! I mean how many owners have you met that can really say they enjoy what they do. Not naming any names, but I’m sure whoever reads this knows who I’m talking about and other sour owners they have dealt with An incredible selection of games from every console, action figures, toys, my lord this place has it all. Prices are beyond fair and you will always get a good quality product with what you pay for. Jay an his staff stand by their store and are always helpful, friendly and chill. The only store in my life where I felt truly comfortable. It may seem I’m overly praising. But absolutely not. I’ve had some awful moments dealing with toxic people who ripped me off with trades and talked down to me. Jay goes above and beyond with trades and makes sure you’re happy once you leave.
