“Fun and cute little place! Came here to look for vintage toys and was shook by the media room. I only really buy VHS at thrift stores so these cost slightly more than what I usually buy but I'm happy to pay slightly more to support a small business with a more curated section! If I lived closer or drove I would happily be a repeat customer.”

“Awesome and fun store! I was going to be in the area and I searched around for places to visit and came upon this place - I was glad I did. This store has it all - collectables, toys, video games (just about any console), board games, cards, physical media (movies and music), etc. If you love physical media (movies) like I do, this place has quite a selection - from VHS to blu ray. It's alphabetical too, which is a really nice bonus. There is quite the selection of titles and they're always restocking new selection. I left with a sizable pile to add to my collection. There's also a pretty large selection of music CDs as well. The video game wall is huge - a large variety of titles for most systems. From collectables and figures to toys from multiple decades, there's a little something for everyone. The owner is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. There's a municipal parking in the rear and some street parking. I don't live in the area, but will certainly be back here again down the line. Highly recommended.”

“They are just your typical scammers. Try to rip you off when doing trade ins. Brought a Sega genesis and at least 15 games to trade/sell. I spent a good amount of time comping the items before going on just to be low balled by over 500 dollars. Additionally, a few weeks back I sold a few pokemon cards. They were admittedly light played, moderately played and one damaged, and was compensated appropriately. Come to find they are selling them at near mint price. Update: brought my games to another collectable store and they offered me 450 and crtiptid only offered 125. Update since i can't comment. So the cards that you have there still just so happen to have the same exact defects as the ones sold to you?? Same crease, same whitening, same scratches??? Omg thats crazy almost too crazy to be true. You are poor businessman and hire ill trained employees”

“RIPPED ME OFF! So these guys are shady and have no business ethics. I went there to sell my old Magic Card collection and they offered me $450 for the whole collection. I accepted the offer. The employee said he didn’t have the cash so he wrote me a check from Wells Fargo. I needed the money asap but I figured I would just cash the check the next day at Wells Fargo. I went at 9am to Wells Fargo and they told me they couldn’t cash the check because it was written incorrectly, he wrote my name and amount on the same line of the check. I talked to the bank manager and she explained I could try to do the mobile deposit but that didn’t go through either. The bank manager told me I had to get a new check. I waited until Cryptid opened and asked to speak to the manager. The owner was there and checked his bank account and he said he saw the check cash pending. I told him that it was denied and I called the Wells Fargo bank on speaker and confirmed everything with the manager right in front of the owner. He said he would have to call his bank but he could give me $100 cash for now and call me in an hr. I took the $100 and went about my day. The owner did not call me at all that day. When I woke up in the morning I text him and there was no response. I waited until the store opened and called the business. The employee told me that they were not going to pay me the rest and they sold 1 card out of my collection and I could come pick up the rest. Why do you mean you sold one card??? So they went through my entire collection and took what they wanted and said that would cover the $100 and I should get the rest. I asked to speak to the owner but the employee told me he called out sick. He wouldn’t answer my texts either. I was really upset that they broke the deal but even more upset that they had my collection for 2 days and looked up all the prices and took what they wanted without consulting me. I don’t understand how someone could own a business and have such low business ethics. The employee messed up and wrote the check wrong and instead of apologizing and issuing a new one, they decided to take the time to rifle through my collection and back out of the deal. I was shocked at what transpired at this establishment. I will never be back here and I would recommend not doing business here with such terrible ethics.”
