I don't know what the previous review was saying, but it does not seem accurate. One of the staff helped me in answering questions. My child has autism and the lady with purple hair immediately showed patience, kindness, and genuine understanding. She spoke calmly, explained things clearly, and never once made us feel rushed or like we were a burden for needing a little extra time. What really stood out to me was how intentional and accommodating the entire environment felt. Management clearly prioritizes inclusivity and customer comfort. They are willing to make accommodations without making it awkward or performative, which means everything when you’re a parent navigating public spaces with a neurodivergent child. This shop isn’t just a place to buy cards — it’s a place where people are treated with respect. The staff is knowledgeable, welcoming, and attentive, and the management has obviously created a culture where empathy matters just as much as expertise. Five stars without hesitation. We will absolutely be returning, and I highly recommend this shop to families, collectors, and anyone who values great service and inclusive spaces.

Great store for games. HUGE selection. The guy behind the counter was chatting with customers about card games which is good. We were checked on 4 times while browsing the board games which is also great. The store is a little worse-for-the-wear which is pretty typical for game stores like this, so no surprise. Have been frequenting this store for about the last 21 years on and off, so make of that what you will. Edit: They moved and the new space seems like an improvement at least from the outside. While they're still awaiting opening the instore space, they were super courteous and generous with the curbside sales. Awesome staff, great experience. I'm excited for them to be in this new location.

Came in a few days ago. Visiting some family that lives here and I got the itch for some cards. You guys looked amazing from your reviews and all the pics. You guys were amazing. I spent 20 min alone just looking at the pop figures and I love the gaming set up you guys had. Made me wish I brought my deck. Lol I was helped by two young ladies. I didnt catch thier names but one had purple hair and the other had longer hair and wore glasses. Both were super sweet and knew what they were talking about. Definitely coming back for the next family visit.

Third Coast Cards is my hometown store, and I generally think they're one of the top two card stores in Houston. A big plus they have over other stores is that the space is big, and they have a pretty big board game selection to check out which is nice. The staff is very nice, though they aren't afraid to bust your balls a little bit if you come in looking for them too drop everything for you. Though they have "11,000,000 cards", I wouldn't say the magic selection is all-encompassing (sometimes missing staples and having 80 copies of random bulk), but the cash discount on cards is very nice if you can find what you want. They get busy, so submit a buy list and don't get mad if you have to wait for awhile...thankfully, they give you a call when your cards are ready and hold them for a good bit. If you're looking to hang out, buy some stuff and play some games I recommend this place over other locations, but if you need one really specific card from a 1999 printing that can only be found by digging a hole directly underneath WOTC's headquarters, look somewhere else- or ask them to order it. As a bonus, the owner leaves some of the most hilarious comments I've ever seen on reviews - definitely check them out if you're bored and looking for some fun stuff to read. Hopefully they respond to this one too!
