“On the 8th of April I was stoked to randomly find a card shop in Heber. I like to collect mostly college football cards but also buy almost anything. When I walked in I noticed they had the Bowman U Chrome 2025 College Football cards in Mega Boxes. They were priced at $65 which is about $15 more than most places. No big deal I knew I would find something. Bingo!! I found MLB Mystery Packs. They had different tiers and I choose the top tier. They were $50/each or buy 5 for $200. As I was in the store the guy working the counter told me about some guy who used to work there but got fired because he ripped off some kid. Something about buying a $600 card for $20. I was with my wife on a 2 day trip to spend some time away from the kids so I didn’t immediately rip them open. Wish I had. Opened up a few hours later and was shocked at the terrible value. I literally got 2 cards that were sub $10 cards, one right at $5, one at $15, and one at $30. I’ve purchased 100’s of mystery cards and never experienced anything close to this atrocity. Typically the mystery cards value at worst is around $35-40 but even that low is rare. Anytime I’ve ever bought 5, $50 mystery packs I’ve always gotten at least 1, $100 card. I also scanned one the PSA graded cards and it wasn’t in the PSA database. Something fishy going on here. You’re better off buying Mystery Packs off eBay from strangers. The guy working the counter said he makes the mystery packs. I’m guessing he is selling the cards to the shop at a premium without the owner knowing and then ripping off the customers with the mystery packs. STAY AWAY. Cards are already at an all time high and hard to come by. Don’t spend your hard earned coin getting housed at this place.”
