“I enjoyed finally visiting Golden Apple Comics when I visited LA. It's smaller than I imagined, but had a wide variety of books in stock. They are heavy on comics and books, with only a small selection of toys and statues. I thought the mix of books was very good. Lots of Marvel and DC, but some great alternative and Manga options as well. I found a number of things I haven't seen in other shops.”

“Traveling from out of state and had to make a stop at this world famous comic shop. From the second I entered the door I was greeted with a hello from the cashier and got help locating everything I was looking for. So many vintage back issues and other items as well such as trade paperbacks, action figures, even Mad Magazines. Everything was reasonably priced and well organized. I will definitely be returning again next time I’m in LA!”

“I’ve been a customer of Golden Apple Comics for years and will continue shopping here. Their selection is excellent, and I still plan to pick up my weekly books and order comics from them online. That said, I had a frustrating customer service experience today. I called around 11:30 a.m. to ask if they still had a copy of Concrete #2 on the shelf. I was told, “I have a lot of people at the register right now. You’re just going to have to come in and see.” I completely understand if the store was busy. What bothered me wasn’t that they couldn’t check—it was that there was no effort to help beyond telling me to drive across Los Angeles and find out myself. Even something as simple as, “Can you call back in 20 minutes?” or “Leave your number and I’ll check when things slow down,” would have made me feel like my time mattered. Retail gets hectic, and I respect that. Customer service is often about how you communicate when you can’t immediately help someone. I’ll definitely keep supporting Golden Apple because it’s one of the best comic shops around. I just hope this was an off day and not the standard for handling phone inquiries.”

“3rd and last time i show on a Tuesday and expect to get to the dollar books. I typically only have Tuesdays to spend in Hollywood. I tried different times of the day and have yet to have access to the dollar bins. They set up all the new books for their pull lists on top of those bins. Can't you find another spot in the shop so as not to inconvenience paying customers? As casual as the pulls were being performed it's no wonder they are at it all day. Their pricing is in line with eBay and even cash doesn't drop the prices on their higher end books. Why drive 30 minutes across town to a unavailable dollar bin and pay eBay or higher prices(even eBay accepts best offer)? Better pricing and customer service at Pulp Fiction and Comic Bug.”
