“This card, board, and miniatures game shop is easily the most up to date and well kept facilities I’ve ever seen. The tables were premium and heavy, the entire store looked clean and smelled great. I was there for a prerelease and the entire crowd was kind and welcoming. Their selection of magic boosters etc was some of, if not the best I’ve seen. Their other stock of accessories and other games was also great. Two lovely clean bathrooms and great air conditioning. This is an excellent LGS. Special shout out to all the staff that day that kept everything smooth and were extremely accommodating. Thankyou Hristo, Blaine, Byron, and Brayden for the great prerelease and gaming environment. I can’t wait to come back, that raffle was no joke!”

“Just visited for the first time, and had a very positive experience. Brought some MtG singles to sell and a wishlist of singles I wanted to buy. Staff promptly tabulated values on the cards I brought and made what I thought was a very fair offer. I opted for store credit, which gives even more value. While my singles were being analyzed, I gave my wishlist to another employee and he started finding my requested singles. So I immediately used my store credit to buy my whole wish list. By coincidence, the wish list was almost exactly the same total as my store credit, so that worked out well for me! Friendly, helpful, fast customer service. Couldn't ask for much more!”

“Hammerhead Games is debatably the best MTG store in Sacramento and for good reason. They have a huge inventory in stock, a clean and comfortable storefront, and friendly faces behind the counter who will engage with you whether you’re shopping or just playing games at the table. I really like how community driven they are. They seem to love promoting local businesses and events, they have a strong social media presence, and most importantly, they are serious about making the space welcoming for all walks of life, with zero tolerance for hate speech. They’re no longer the little hole in the wall in a dentist’s office that they used to be. It’s no wonder they’ve come so far, they clearly have a love for the gaming community. My only criticism is: please get a proper sign. You guys are better than that banner. 😭”
