“This is a great retro game store. The selection is huge given how small the store is and spans all your major consoles. Loved the spread of Nintendo games by the counter. The prices are very competitive with what you find online and often beat them out (including shipping). They also carry accessories like travel cases. In the middle of the store are a bunch of anime and pop culture items. In addition to games, they offer services like replacing save batteries. Employees are nice and happy to answer questions. The employees at the counter always let me browse at my leisure. Love that San Diego has such a good retro game store! Selection updates every day, so I recommend making regular visits to see what you can find.”

“This place rocks! I cannot say enough good things about this place, it a nerd heaven. The staff was very knowledgeable across multiple platforms. The store is clean, laid out well and everything is in alphabetical order. They have a 7 day return policy on used games, if you get home and something doesn't work. They had a huge selection of retro games and systems so we picked up some new to us Gamecube games. If you're into retro gaming, this place is for you.”

“Calico Games gives me nostalgia. A kid roaming through the aisles looking at the back of games without a smart phone and hoping the game is good. The building is small, but has a lot of retro games, but plagued by MLB, NFL, FIFA, etc games(All retro game stores are plagued by these).Gotta scan through them and you might hit a banger. Prices are good, not scalper level. They price them depending on damage level and what's missing. Pictures are from Mira Mesa, Escondido and Vista locations.”
