“Walked into JB Sports Cards and Memorabilia and was immediately greeted with a “Welcome to JB Sports, How can I help you?” and a big smile. The gentleman brought me right over to the UFC display case that I requested to see. Prices and Product displayed perfectly, was able to pick out what I wanted to. Very impressive displays and one of the largest sports cards and memorabilia inventories I have seen in New England. Check out was simple, as they accept most forms of payment. He put my merchandise in a nice small bag and we were on our way. Definitely highly recommend to anyone in the hobby and will be returning for more purchases. Thanks JB!!”

“Amazing place for Cards. Great variety with reasonable prices. The owner and staff were very knowledgeable and offered me a great price on some basketball cards I had pulled and wanted to sell. “Really great hobby shop. Lots of awesome product priced reasonably (all things considered). You don’t often see the amount and availability of true Hobby product in person anymore. It helps I scored basically the best autos I could have in the Hobby I bought! After reading some of the reviews here, I can see how the owner might come off a bit…. crass…. But you also have to imagine the type of stuff he deals with daily. People being unreasonable, no understanding of what the market is like, etc. If you’re itching to rip, this is the place to go!”

“Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here. I came in Sunday needing to buy one case for one card. It was a thicker relic card so I was really hoping to rely on the expertise of the staff to help me identify the correct size. When I asked which was the correct size, the guy behind the counter seemed disinterested. He told me to go measure the card against the packaging in the back. He didn’t tell me which product had the sizing guide so I had to check about 10 different packages before even realizing what he was talking about. After thinking I had finally figured it out, I noticed a small box of heavily used card cases sitting in the center of the store near the supplies. Many of these had damage, writing and stickers on them but I didn’t care. I asked the other employee how much it was to buy one of these. He said they weren’t for sale. I then asked why they were in the middle of the store, and he replied that they were just storing them there. When I got the card home, the case I selected still didn’t fit. When I’ve done this previously in other card stores, the employees always invest their personal time and energy into ensuring I get the correct product. Here, they just assumed everyone was a card case guru and sent me on a mission to do their job for them. It would have been so easy for them to help considering they go through thousands of cards every day as part of their job. They know this stuff inside and out and yet still declined to apply any of their expertise to my situation. I believe this is why we are seeing more businesses move to touchscreens for everything because human beings increasingly do not see it as one of their duties to be proactive in assisting customers. What I did not tell them is that I had been eyeing a $700 hobby box and the case thing was kind of a test to see if this place was worthy of my business. It turned out they weren’t. In the end, this was a case of “stepping over dollars to pick up dimes.” An uncaring attitude over small matters can often seep into bigger losses.”
