“A nice store on the outskirts of Orlando proper. I showed up at about 10:20 and the owner didn’t open up until 10:25 so I guess don’t be an early bird like me since the opening times aren’t set in stone. The store has a great selection of games from 2000 onwards, a lot less exciting when it comes to cartridge games unfortunately. The gameboy section was nothing crazy. Prices were good, about what I expect from a brick and mortar store so no complaints with that. I do appreciate that the owner was adamant about his very liberal return policy. Been to quite a few stores that have a strict no exception rule even if it’s something that’s their fault. The owner was friendly and personable, had a nice chat with him, maybe a bit burnt out of the cutthroat business, but still very passionate about what he sells. I did appreciate getting to pet the store dog. I guess if you’re allergic to dogs that might suck, but I’m not so that was an absolute blast! If you live around Conway I’d say this place is worth checking out.”

“What a great store! I was in town for a visit and decided to pop by here after seeing it mentioned several places, I was not disappointed at all. The owner, a very friendly fellow; along with being knowledgeable, not only on games themselves, but consoles and repair. I took a look around and he had a large variety of nearly every console and even a few of the more odd games for the rare to find consoles. I was very impressed with his wide array of Nintendo, Xbox, PlayStation and Sega consoles; all ready to go. He has a shop dog that is as sweet as can be. The price has seemed very fair and reasonable he does use priceCharting and eBay to keep the most current market prices and most of the items. I have to say were at list price excluding shipping so I found it a very attractive store for this reason as well. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time, I’m in the area.”

“I’m a huge video game collector, so whenever I’m driving through the state of Florida, I always try to find locally owned video game stores to check out. I recently had the opportunity to stop by and visit Darkside Video Games. Although I didn’t end up purchasing anything this time, there was still plenty to choose from. They had everything from Virtual Boy, 3DO, and Sega Saturn games to some rare SNES heavy hitters, including Hagane. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’m happy I was able to stop by and check the place out. Not to mention, the owner has a super sweet dog who was enjoying herself while hanging out at the store! 🐶🎮 If you’re ever driving through Florida and enjoy collecting video games, definitely consider stopping by and supporting a local game store!”

“I don't know why the other reviewers were complaining about the store mascot, she was the sweetest pup! Just came up to me and wanted nothing but pets! The used game selection was pretty decent size, spent a good amount of time perusing. I like the 14 day policy if the purchased games have an issue, even told me if I am from out of town to call if any issue within that time period and they would work something out.”
