★★★★★
“An excellent game shop. They've grown a lot since I moved here, and with every move they get bigger and better. Bigger play space, better selection. But the customer service has been excellent since my first visit. Highly recommend!”

“I had to write this review because I was genuinely blown away by my experience today. I’ve only been playing MTG for about four months, and Cardboard was the very first shop I visited when I picked up my first precon. I’ve been coming back ever since. Today, I came in to trade some cards toward an open Tyranid precon I had been eyeing. When I got home and started sleeving the deck, I realized about half of it was actually from the Space Marine precon. I called the store, and they told me to come back so they could make it right. The manager (I believe his name was Robert) took the time to go through everything and ended up offering me a sealed Tyranid precon they had just received—and even covered the difference in cost so I could start playing immediately. That level of customer service says everything about Cardboard and its staff. They truly go above and beyond for their customers and the community. If you’re looking for a shop where you’ll feel welcomed, supported, and surrounded by people who genuinely love the game, this is the place to go. This was my first card shop in the Augusta area, and it will absolutely remain my go-to.”

“The store was nice, and the new location is accessible as well. The only thing I've ever had against cardboard Castle games, is that the staff isn't particularly friendly to new faces or folks who might be inexperienced. There's a very much an expectation of you need to know why you're there, and what you're there for. No one has ever been rude or anything, but be sure you have some idea of what you're looking for before you go in there as the staff will just greet you with a blank stare and wonder why you don't know what you're talking about.”
★★★
“Edit: my suggestion then would be to give customers the choice of paying $10 to get a non universe beyond pack with admission or the $5 with no pack Huge bummer they don’t give away a free pack on Magic Commander Night anymore. Another game store in the area does $10 admission which comes with a free pack, and you get an additional pack for each game you either win or get voted by the rest of the pod as the MVP. In contrast, Cardboard Castle is $5 admission with access to the plinko board where you can win anything from snacks, promo card, or a magic pack. I always get the $0.50 bag of Cheetos, which feels bad. I do think the vibes are better at Cardboard Castle, but it sucks I will never get the rush of pulling a $50 card from a “free” pack (I know it’s not free, but it feels that way). So I have been going to the other store.”
