“​The new Level Up at the Mall of Georgia looks amazing! It's in the outdoor section near the theater (note: you cannot access it from inside the mall, it has an outside-only entrance). The area out front has an awesome Avalon/Halcyon vibe with cornhole and plenty of seating. The store itself is bright, airy, and much easier to browse than the old location (though the old one wasn't bad!). It has a great retail focus but still keeps a space for open play. They kept all the essentials like the great paint selection, and have everything you need for RPGs, family nights, or party games.”

“I went into level up gaming with my son who likes table top games and the socual aspect of it. I was really surprised by the knowledgeable staff and table gaming areas. There was a whole section which seemed dedicated to Warhammer. Actually great place.”

“Very big game store. They have a little bit of everything...board games, RPGs, card based games, dice, miniatures, accessories and more. Staff was really nice and helpful. And the gaming tables!!! Wow!! So much space devoted to the tables, standard and high top, good for strategic games. Also have arcade style games where you can come in and play. There' a little courtyard area out front of the store where you can hang out. Honestly, one of the best places I've been to. Plenty of space.”

“I came here as a first-time Dungeons & Dragons player, and this place made my nerd brain light up like a slot machine. The store is basically a small warehouse filled with everything: miniatures, paints, tournaments, one-off games, campaign tables, arcade machines — and people running every type of session imaginable. I joined a beginner D&D game run by a Dungeon Master who somehow managed to guide total newbies without making us feel like we were slowing the world down. Learning spell mechanics, dice rolls, roles, actions… it’s a LOT, but the DM kept it fun. I’m pretty sure I “won” my first game only because the story reached a natural ending, but I’ll take the victory anyway. The space is impressive — big, energetic, and clearly built by people who care about tabletop culture. I also quickly learned that high-end board games cost as much as two dinners at a bougie French restaurant. That part hurts, but it’s part of the hobby. My one complaint: I found a fantastic beginner D&D session on Eventbrite for $7.99… but I haven’t seen another beginner option pop up since. For people trying to learn the game from scratch, consistent newbie-friendly sessions would be a huge win. Overall, Level Up Games is absolutely worth checking out if you love board games, TTRPGs, painting minis, or just want to dip your toes into D&D. I’d come back in a heartbeat — I just hope they bring back more true beginner opportunities.”
