“Columbus Comics has been a comic shop I could always depend on. I’ve been browsing through titles here when I could since I was in high school (about twenty years now), but I only really got to know the owner fairly recently. Mr. Pat is awesome. There really isn’t a better way to describe him. Dude is kind, knowledgable, extremely friendly, and full of stories. Honestly, as much as I love getting comics I’m truly there just to hear more stories from Mr. Pat. Haha. His “New Comic Book Day” reels have become something I count on every week and I pop in whenever I can just to see how he’s doing. He is a HUGE supporter of his local community, the nerd community, and of people themselves. Mr. Pat brags on the friends he’s made just running his book store for about forty-five years or so now, and I mean brags on the people he’s gotten to watch grow up and follow their passions as well as some of their kids. I’ve even made some friends just frequenting the shop - that’s how much this place rubs off on you if you let it. Not only will you find the latest titles, killer oldies, some rare classics, and even an entire section of comics for kids, but you’ll also find some of the best deals around from someone that knows what he’s talking about. He’s even ordered titles for me that I’ve been searching everywhere for. I’ve been to dozens of comic shops and bookstores in the southeast - sometimes I find what I’m looking for, sometimes I don’t; Columbus Comics is the only comic shop where I leave with a different attitude and stack of fantastic titles. Shout out to Mr. Pat: the man, the myth, the legend!”
