More Fun Comics

“Had the pleasure of meeting DC (shop owner) probably 15 years ago. So humble, hardworking (pretty sure he wears all the hats!), and willing to share his knowledge. Called him recently to thank him for his recommendation many-year-ago for Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing after I read The Killing Joke and Watchmen (if memory serves). I’ve never been more hooked on comics! Also, from time to time I see some unfortunate reviews—possibly from folks that don’t really understand how comic stores are run/the pressure of being an owner. In my experience, the best shops are run by people like DC, who have a vast knowledge of comics, but are also very self-sufficient (do everything to run the store themselves). So just realize, this owner is amazing—don’t be afraid to ask questions! If he’s locked into the computer for a moment, he’s just wearing one of his many hats! It doesn’t mean he doesn’t notice you. I think he also understands that some clients like to search without someone looking over their shoulder. I also think, the more comic shops you explore, the more you’ll realize just how special More Fun Comics is. Now I’ll get off my soap box ☺️.”

“I was mesmerized. To tell the truth (as if I wasn't but how would you know) I haven't been to a comic book store since I was this high. No wait, more like this high! So when I stepped inside this place I was in awe. My friend was looking around like he was in a candy store. For me it was like memory lane. Like, "wow I had that when I was...oh wow I remember that...hey I had that action figure!" Not to mention all the other stuff I never seen before. From new items to vintage items you will find more than one thing here that will make you question why you ever grew up. The owner, who could pass for the John Malkovich was super cool and knowledgeable. Or maybe he was just acting. Who knows?! Anyway if I was thirty years younger or still lived with my mom, (that's for you Howard!) I could see this place as my store.”
