“Our family has been really into Pokémon cards and sports cards lately, so the kids were eager to buy some. We decided to visit Rochester Sports Card in downtown Rochester Hills. Since the downtown area is small, finding the shop along the street was a bit tricky, and street parking is metered, which was a little stressful at first. Luckily, around 3:30 PM there were plenty of open spots, so parking wasn’t a problem. The store isn’t very large, but it has an impressive variety of cards in stock. It was fun to look at the special cards displayed in frames, and the kids loved browsing boxes of more affordable cards. The highlight was a Justin Verlander special card priced at around $2,000 per card, which really surprised us. What impressed me the most was how the staff explained every card in detail. Our youngest has tons of questions and kept asking about different cards, and the staff patiently and kindly answered every question. It was amazing to see how they took the time to teach the kids, which made their visit much more enjoyable and interactive. The kids spent a long time exploring the cards, and many were about 30% cheaper than what we’d seen at other stores, so it made browsing and buying even more exciting. In the end, they picked a few cards they really liked and were thrilled with their purchases. While we didn’t get any jackpot cards, the kids kept saying they want to come back again, which shows how much they enjoyed it. Overall, although finding the location and parking was a bit tricky at first, the variety of cards, reasonable prices, and the staff’s friendly explanations made the visit well worth it. The kids had a great time learning about and picking out cards, making it a perfect place for a family outing combined with card shopping. Next time, we plan to spend more time and see if we can find some other rare cards.”
