“I've been collecting Pokemon pretty much my whole life, and the current state of the market has made it really hard to keep the passion for collecting alive. Ultimate and a handful of other small stores have saved it for me. I can honestly say that out of all the card/game stores I've been to in Minnesota, these guys are absolutely one of the best. They've got amazing prices on both sealed products and singles, and as soon as you meet the staff, you just know they have a great passion for what they do, and strive to take care of both their regulars and new customers alike. They go above and beyond in a crazy market to keep prices fair, get product into the hands of true collectors, and encourage a strong and positive community. Where as many other stores are happily pricing at market or higher right off the bat, Ultimate gives everyone a fair chance to keep collecting and enjoying the hobby. The store, staff and atmosphere are amazing here and they sell everything from Pokémon Cards, Sports Cards, Card Supplies, Retro games, Records and CDs, and so so much more! “most of this star rating is a testament to the fact that they have an amazing amount of pokemon stock. super cool to see the cards in different languages and i appreciate the bulk being sorted by eras! sealed product will greatly range in price, of course, but it's great to see it available at all these days. can't really give five stars because the vibe overall is pretty uncomfortable. especially on weekends it can get super claustrophobic and the interactions between staff are wickedly awkward to witness. once i get in my flow state looking through bulk/etc. though i can easily tune it out, and have met some other nice people. guess this all just comes with the territory of being into nerdy hobbies and interacting with that crowd lol”
