Rock Bottom Comics

★★★★★

“If you’re a comic fan and find yourself in Columbia, Rock Bottom Comics is absolutely worth a stop. At first glance, it’s a small shop and a bit of a tight squeeze, but don’t let that fool you. Take a deep breath and start looking around, because this place is packed with just about anything you could want, along with plenty of books you didn’t even know you needed until you saw them. John, the owner, is hands down the most helpful local comic shop owner I’ve ever met. I’m from out of town and always make a point to visit local comic shops when I travel, and John stands out from the rest. He takes the time to ask what you enjoy reading, talks comics with you, and then pulls out multiple recommendations that fit your interests. It’s clear he genuinely loves comics and cares about helping customers discover their next favorite series. I’m so glad I ignored a few negative reviews and stopped in. If I could give Rock Bottom Comics 10 stars, I would. Great selection, outstanding customer service, and an owner who truly cares about both comics and the people who read them. I’ll be stopping in every time I’m back in Columbia.”

“The guy inside was nice and showed me a couple of different comics. Then let me know that there are free comics instead of having me buy something I wasnt sure I was into. If your looking for something to do id recommend stopping by and reading a comic when you get home”

“Proprietor is a really friendly, knowledgeable guy. Happy to let you browse, but if you tell him what you're into he'll give you about a dozen recommendations, all spot on. Definitely will be back.”

“Really an incredible store with an incredible experience to boot. I came in looking for one comic- preordered it- and then left with four more comics that were recommended to me. Can't wait to come back and get the next columes, each one I've read so far has been amazing”
