“I would like to start with the positive. The location is cool. The staff was nice, they were willing to double check prices and seemed to already understand where our questions and problems arise from. Which brings us to the negative. The POS (point of sale) system which is in place is not helpful for Pokémon TCG in my opinion and I believe this business is losing customers and sales based off it. Especially since I am one of them. I will address Pokémon specifically since I’m not familiar with other TCG. Since market price is consistently changing and the system is creating an average and pulling longer date periods from current date TCG player it is creating an overage to market price. This in turn (from a buyers perspective) is frustrating and creating a lack of trust. On the three-five cards I picked out in the first ten mins of entering the store they were priced at a 20-50% markup to market. For someone like me who isn’t willing to address this the store is automatically loosing my business since I’m not trying to create potential conflict. Thankfully my partner was willing to address and discuss some opinions with the staff who were willing to check and verify pricing and confirmed the prices at lower amount which matched market so thanks to them he did purchases cards. As stated above though I truly believe this is a huge problem for overall business and trust for customers. If the staff just learned how to use TCG player without the pos system I believe it would really help with this problem. Though I understand that potentially creates more issues for the business with stealing and mishaps I truly think it would be better. I know I wouldn’t mind waiting if it took a little longer to get some cards I’m excited about at fair market value rather than asking about cards and turning them down because it’s over priced and feeling like I have to double check everything to the employee pricing. I hope this business takes this into consideration since I would love to support at fair market value.”
