2nd time at the store and my first LGS Event ever! What an amazing time. The store is amazing as is between the board games the Cafe and the TCG. The event was great and the staff here are top notch. Amazing customer service 20/10

I love this store. I was one of the first patrons when they opened up many years ago. I am a long-time and avid Dungeons & Dragons player and a disc golfer. So, clearly, this store is like my Holy Place. I love their vast selection of dice, discs, board games, and everything in between. If you are in the nerd culture, and you cannot find something here, it is definitely your problem. They have nearly everything under the sun that is nerdy. And so many fun and exciting board games to browse. I was even able to pick up a set of large rubber D20S – while they are super massive, they will make a great gift for my toddler nephew. I was able to get them their first dice! 😊 Their disc selection is also superior. I have been to a bespoke disc golf store that had less stock than Cape Fear Games. I also love that they still have loose dice for sale, so you can be a little dice goblin and pick out what catches your eye, even if there is not a matching set. What a great experience, and every time I go to Wilmington, I make sure to stop here.

We were in town for vacation, and this was one of our main priorities for visiting. My husband and I are huge nerds, and he was delighted by their Warhammer selection, as well as their D&D selection. I was also incredibly impressed by everything they have. Their prices were great, most items were a few dollars less than MSRP, which is fantastic. Our local game store is also great, but the markup is pretty high, so we can't really afford to spend as much as we'd like. Which I understand, businesses have to make money. But CFG was much more reasonable, and we were able to get more here. They have a ton of games, both mainstream and indie, and they have a really great system for organizing. They had an entire shelf of 2 player friendly games, which we really appreciated because we don't have kids or a friend group to play games with. It's usually just the two of us. They had a list of their top recommendations for 2-player friendly games, which was really cool. There's a nice selection of overstock discounted & used games in the middle of the store, which was really nice. Besides their huge and impressive selection of games, it was also a really welcoming atmosphere. The employees were friendly, and they didn't seem to mind us browsing for a while. We were in the store for quite some time (at least an hour) browsing before we checked out, and I was worried they'd get annoyed at us for mingling for so long, but they didn't. The music was great, and it wasn't too loud. The employees were very welcoming to every customer. I could hear them talking to everyone as they rang out or checked in (I'm assuming for a D&D session), and it seemed like they have built a very nice little community. We also had an employee talk to us while we were browsing and offer to help us find a game, which we really appreciated! We were so impressed that we returned the next day with one of our family members, and he was just as excited about the store as we were. It was great. I wish it wasn't 10+ hours away from my city, otherwise we'd be there regularly! The café next door seemed really neat, but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to stop by while we were there. Also, huge fan of the TAZ reference in the RPG section. (I'm from the city that the McElroys are from, so it was really neat to see this! Also we are just big Adventure Zone fans.)

Nice place with plenty to offer any tabletop gamer. They offer more for trade-ins than most. The only criticism I have is some employees are friendlier than others, but all make you feel welcome.
