“First off, reader beware: a lot of the negative reviews you may see are from people who bought mystery products, gambled, and didn’t win big. Please do not let that distract you from what this shop actually is. TPV is an amazing Pokémon shop with great ownership, a great staff, and one of the widest selections of sealed product I’ve seen. They carry collector-quality collection boxes, ETBs, singles, mystery bags/tins, and plenty more. Their singles pricing is also extremely competitive — honestly, it is hard to beat. Trade-ins are easy, fair, and customer-friendly. I have done multiple recent trades with them and have always felt like I received great value back. I am happy to say I have never had a single issue with anything I’ve purchased from them, including sealed product and mystery items. One thing people need to remember: mystery bags are a gamble. That is literally the point. If you have money to burn and want the excitement, buy one and maybe you hit something awesome. But judging a mystery product only because you didn’t pull the top prize is unfair. In my opinion, the floor value on these is actually very reasonable compared to the buy-in, and that says a lot about how the shop runs them. Great shop, great staff, great selection, fair trade-ins, and a place I’ll absolutely keep supporting.”

“They have proven me wrong again. 560$ for a preorder for a 180$ box that doesn't release for another 3 months. I am begging people to wake up and not support this behavior. 4\14\26 I didn't think they could get worse, but they buy at 50% of price charting prices and don't go off TCGPlayer for vintage cards. I'm never coming back. 6/15 edit: They've recently added back the mystery slabs for 40$ and I have never felt more ripped off. We got a 5$ card. I've realized I should stop hoping for a card shop to make a good change and should start looking for a better one. This shop helped me get back into the hobby a few years ago so it's heartbreaking but there's clearly nothing to be done. I used to have so much love for TPV Pokécenter but I will be seeking a new card shop after having been a frequent customer over the last 2-3 years. The pricing for Prismatic and Blooming waters are undeniably greed driven. While their original reasoning was that they had to purchase boxes at a higher price and thus sell at a higher price, upon the wave 2 release of prismatic 25$ boxes are being sold at 89$ each. Blooming waters boxes are marked up from 70$ to 125$. Yes, this is market price, however this is for items that have not released yet and the market has been set by scalpers. Matching this market only encourages them and TPV has made no steps to be part of the change like other card shops such as Freedom or Watson. This behaviour makes it difficult to impossible for children to be part of the hobby who should always come first, over adults who want nostalgia and shiny cardboard. It is heart breaking and has broken my trust in the shop, I would be overjoyed if this changes one day and would potentially bring back my business, but apparently the only thing that changes sellers is a poor review from a big name YouTuber.”
