“This comic book store looks well stocked, and well staffed. Full disclosure: I work for a software startup that is building a new way to experience comics, and it may not be for everyone, as much as we have tried to design it to be for everyone. That being said the clerk seemed to speak for the business as a whole (perhaps he was the owner, I'm not sure, as our conversation was very brief), and stated that they are against digital comics in any form. While I understand this stance from a brick and mortar store, I feel like it ignores the fact that businesses in the same industry should support each-other as much as they can, and that interest begets interest no matter the medium. The project we are trying to bring to market "Majesty Reader" by way of our Kickstarter, is an experience unlike any digital, or paper product, and is thus not even a direct competitor to paper comics. Our business also intends on supporting brick and mortar stores by providing an in-store experience, by way of a digital kiosk that would allow paper comics stores to have their entire catalog available to peruse in-store using our reader, that allows for massive customization of not only comic books, but all readable materials, in new and exciting ways. We plan on further supporting the paper comics industry by contracting with publishers who want to bring their entire libraries of art assets, from sketches, to ink layers, to color layers, and all additive assets like speech bubbles into our patented togglable art asset management system, and encouraging the development of printable versions of our multilayer system using transparencies, and augmented reality crossovers that would encourage purchasing of digital and paper assets together. I'm hoping by posting this that the owner of the business, even if it was the clerk himself, might reconsider helping us promote our platform, as we would be strongly motivated to promote this store, and offer an in-store experience unlike any other.”

“This is an excellent shop. I went in with my 4 year old recently and explained to one of the gentleman how I don’t know comics, but want to start introducing my son to them for fun reading. The guy was very nice (I didn’t catch his name) and I was excited to hear they had a very small, but still existent kids section. After looking through it, there seemed to be some fun stuff in there. My son and I walked the store a bit just looking around since we’d never been before. My son stumbled across a comic that featured Sonic on it (a character he recognized immediately). One of the other gentleman working there saw us eyeing it and he shared that it would be a great option to start with as well. While it wasn’t in the “kids” section, he felt it was still very kid friendly. Eventually we finish up and purchase said book. My son and I have ABSOLUTELY loved reading it together. I thank the dudes who were working the store that day and their shop. Idk if we would have discovered this book otherwise. The shop, while not huge, is chock full of comics, books, and collectibles wall to wall, floor to ceiling. We recently moved to this area, so I am stoked that there is such an awesome store in this community. Thanks for helping us out guys. Can’t wait to go back soon!”

“Stopped in looking for some back issues of Uncanny X-Men. Guy working didn't acknowledge me at all. Strike One. It was challenging to find anything as the store is unorganized and there is stuff everywhere . Strike Two. Once I was able to locate some of the titles I was looking for , the selection was lacking. and grossly overpriced. Strike Theee. I'm out and won't be back.”
