“The shop is nice and clean, the staff has always been friendly and helpful, and the inventory seems robust. My biggest issue is the pricing on Pokémon products. During my last visit (about a month ago), many items were priced well above current TCGplayer market prices. For example: - Perfect Order packs: $12 (about $6 market) - Ascended Heroes packs: $25 (about $14 market) - Pitch Black ETB: $123 (about $70 market, unless this was the Pokémon Center version, which wasn’t specified) - Pitch Black Booster Bundle: $64 (about $40 market) - Pitch Black 3-Pack Blister: $31.50 (about $23 market) - Pitch Black packs: $10 (about $7 market) I understand local card shops can’t always match MSRP or online pricing, and I’m happy to pay a reasonable premium to support them. However, since these consignment prices were almost double market value, I can’t justify buying Pokémon products here anymore. If pricing were closer to market, I’d gladly shop here more often.”
