“The staff and owner of Captain Comics are extremely helpful if you need a recommendation for any comic. They have comics, toys, statues, signed items as well as gift cards. They even have a Xenomorph statue and a Spiderman Statue at the front window. The owner does buy comic books and will explain how they come to the price. They also host the Captain Comics Expo during the last full weekend of February each year. They have also been voted the best comic book shop in Charleston for 18 years as well.”

“Wonderful experience at this shop! I am an out of towner who looks for comic shops in whatever new city I travel to, and this one I happened to have my sister and 8 year old niece with me (they are not comic readers, so I was a little nervous bringing them with me just because many shops are not friendly to people outside of the hobby). But this store was a delight to experience, they had a great selection of comics (new issues, back issues, a variety of publishers, a very healthy selection of graphic novels) that kept us in the store exploring for almost half an hour. And the customer service was superb - the employee at the shop was so friendly and helpful to all of us, giving good descriptions and suggestions for books that we asked her about. She even held a good 5 minute conversation with my niece while we were shopping. We all left with new books to read, and my niece even said it was the best part of our vacation. I concur! Great experience, can’t ask for more from your local comic book shop!”
