“’Twas my first time visiting Pokemaniacs at Barton Creek Square, and what a happy surprise. I’ve visited their other locations at Lakeline Mall and in San Antonio, and I’ve always loved the quality service and genuine care they bring to the Pokémon community. This visit was an accidental find while shopping, but it turned into a very pleasant experience. Pokémon is wildly popular, and it can be tough to track down products, so having a dedicated store like this right in the community is truly appreciated. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate, which made browsing even more fun. Inventory was well organized, and the atmosphere felt welcoming for collectors of all ages. “Overpriced packs with extremely low hits. I’ve purchased several packs from them other the last few weeks. If you are looking for a very specific card, it’s nice having that option.”

“I visit this location often and have always had a good experience until today. The girl working did not look up from her phone once the whole time I was there. I saw a customer ask her a question that he had to repeat multiple times because she could not be bothered to stop scrolling, look up and acknowledge the customer asking for help. I wanted to pick up a few packs but after watching that interaction I wanted to wait for the other employee that had previous checked in and let me know if I needed anything to ask him. Unfortunately he had gone to the back and while I wanted to wait, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and asked her for the two packs. Again she did not look up from her phone when I asked for help, grabbed the packs and started to walk to the register after asking if that was it. I initially said yes that was all but at the register I talked myself in to getting some sleeves. When I let her know "actually could I get some sleeves too?" she responded very annoyed "I thought you said that was all?". Upon hearing that I just wanted to pay and leave. I said " I don't need to get them...I'm good" she asked what kind I needed and I just repeated "I'm good". I'm not sure if it was a bad day for her or something since every visit thus far has been great but working in retail means customer service should be priority, not your phone. It felt like I did not matter and was getting in the way of her screen time. I will be stopping by again but only when another employee is available to help.”

“Was recommended from a sister store to check and see if they MIGHT have a set I’m looking for , I went in searching and asked a lady working up front if they have them. “Not unless they’re invisible” as she points to nothing in the display case and I was like “oh okay just was referenced and they said you might have it so I thought I’d ask in case I don’t see it” cut me off and said “ like I said unless they’re invisible, KEY WORD MIGHT and I don’t see any” I DONT even know this person to have her talking to me with a smart Alec tone. I wasn’t even rude. crappy service and crappy prices.”
