Tanuki Games

★★★★★

“Tanuki Games is a fantastic spot for anyone into tabletop gaming. They have a massive selection of board games, and I’m always impressed that their prices are often lower than MSRP. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making it a welcoming environment whether you're a serious hobbyist or just looking for a gift. Plus, their online store is really convenient if you prefer to shop from home. The only real downside is that parking can be quite a struggle on the weekends when it gets busy. If you can head over on a weekday or don't mind a bit of a hunt for a spot, it’s well worth the trip. Definitely my go-to local game store!”

“Amazing selection of board games. They have a great selection of big games, 2 player, and small compact games. They also have fun Rolife sets, dice, blind bags, other trinkets, and rpg books. They also back several kickstarters and you can put down deposits on their site to reserve an order.”

“I love the selection of hard to find import games. As someone who loves shedding and trick taking games, I was impressed by the amount of games on offer.”

“Austin's coolest spot for video games old and new! Tanuki Games is a fantastic independent game store that any gamer in Austin absolutely needs to know about — the selection of retro and modern games, consoles, and accessories is genuinely impressive and always changing. The staff are passionate gamers themselves, making every visit feel like chatting with friends who really know their stuff. Prices are fair and the atmosphere is welcoming and fun from the moment you walk in. A true Austin gem for anyone who loves gaming culture!”
