“I visited Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy in Alamo Ranch for the first time while looking for The Thing on the Doorstep #3 and a few other titles I had been searching for. Chris immediately noticed me going through the drawers and asked if I was finding everything okay. He then said, “Talk to me, how can I help you?” — and from that moment on, he delivered the most helpful, polite, and patient customer service I’ve ever experienced. He took the time to explain their subscription service in detail, walking me through the policies step by step so I fully understood how everything works. He also introduced me to their Hero Points system, and because of how clearly and enthusiastically he explained it, I signed up right away. Chris went above and beyond in every way. He was extremely knowledgeable, charismatic, and genuinely invested in helping me find exactly what I needed. “As a girl who plays Magic, I am very used to being ignored when I walk into card stores nowadays. A lot of cashiers or people attending the counters tend to just look right past me when I’m there needing the help, even making the eyes or hand gestures that I need assistance, but that was not the case here. I’ve been here a few times being from out of city, and I’ve always been treated with respect and got way more than the typical customer service experience. I’d like to send a thank you to both Chris and Jeremy (I believe that’s their names) who have helped me out each time there.
