“***PLEASE READ*** I brought in my old Game Boy Color, not really sure if anything could be done with it, but hoping for the best. They completely restored it, and I mean completely. It looked and felt like the same one I used to play as a kid. As soon as I turned it on and heard that startup sound, it was super nostalgic. It honestly felt like I went back in time for a second. It meant a lot more to me than I expected. What really stood out was how personal everything felt. They didn’t rush me, didn’t try to push anything on me — just real conversations, helpful information, and intentional work. It’s rare to find a place where you feel genuinely taken care of, but that’s this place. If you’re into gaming, cards, or repairs, this is the place for you. They treat you like a friend that they care for, rather than other companies that just want you to spend money and leave. 10/10”

“We did not have a good experience at all with Play and Talk. We bought a controller from them that was defective and brought it back the same day and they took 45 minutes to “diagnose” it to make sure it actually didn’t work. Once they confirmed it was broken they told us we could get our money back but they would charge a 15% “restocking fee.” I’m well aware the stocking fee is in their terms and conditions but they are absolute slimeballs to charge someone $80 for a controller then charge 15% to “restock it” even though it was BROKEN when we bought it. Do NOT use this place unless you want to get scammed out of money. I will always support local business over big chain but it’s so messed up to charge someone money when you sold them something that was defective. I would have completely understood if they would’ve just given the money back because stuff happens…but not charge the customer more money. The lady at the counter said “we have to fix it so that’s why there’s a 15% charge.” So I literally donated money to this store for them to fix their controller. Please do better.”
