It is conveniently located in uptown Oakland Cali, nestled on the corner of Clay Street, just a short brisk walk away from BART and AC transit lines if you rely or take public transportation as I do. There is also plenty of parking if you're out cruising and Jonesing, looking to scratch that Absolute Batman itch. They have a wide... Scratch that... Ginormous, epic wide variety and selection of current comic books, back issue comic books, collectors comic books, collectors supplies; such as polypropylene bags by industry standard BCW and 100% acid free boards, acrylic UV protective magnet attached comic book cases in a variety of clear colors,short and long boxes for your collections, graphic novels, manga, posters, sports trading cards/sports collectible trading cards (SCTC) (STG), trading card game/collectible card game (TCG) (CCG), t-shirt, sweaters, hoodies, memorabilia, mystery boxes, toys, unique themed collectible candies, pins, and much more. I admit, that every time I go in to pick up a pre-order and browse around, I end up spending more than an hour or more in the shop; and walking out with several more comics, bags, and boards than I had planned. It is my second or third home. The entire staff and owner are super kind, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and they provide outstanding service. They go above and beyond 🚀 If you are ever in the east bay, or looking to check out a dope new comic book shop & love Marvel, DC, Image, or other indie comics out there, including manga, graphic novels, trading cards, and collectibles; then definitely be sure to make Cape and Cowl your destination and mark it on your TDList ✔ 📚”

“This store is amazing, I recently got back into reading comics 2 years ago and this has been my go to store ever since. I’m here at least once a week. The staff here is the best I’ve ever encountered, I’ve visited different comic stores in different states across the country and you can’t find any better customer service than here. Diego is a legend, the moment I first walked through the store he gave me so many amazing recommendations, goes above and beyond to help me find the right comic. The owner of the store is extremely nice and the amount of great options from comics, posters,books,manga, collectibles, they have it all ! This place is my 2nd home.”
