“The people who run this store has built a very welcoming community. There are lots of selections of products, magic, Pokémon among other cards. Their events are very very very reasonably priced and the way they organize tournaments feels. The old tcg shop I went to in alameda felt almost twice as expensive and that was 10 years ago. Thats how cheap versus game is for their events. As for their community building, I play quite a bit of magic. And in my past experience, the crowd can be really really rough. I think it says something about this card shop that everyone who comes here is so very kind and patient.”

“I was just in there for my first time and this place has to be one of the coolest little card shops I have been too. The staff went above and beyond to help me. One of the guys took the time and break down pokemon cards and different versions. It was all new to me. I am magic the gathering guy in which they have too. They had a dozen of so magic card matches going on. Super clean and felt like being at home. If your in the neighborhood I would highly recommend picking up singles, trading, packs, or play some matches. I will be going back for sure!”

“versus games is such a great spot in sf for tabletop and card games. i wasn’t a total beginner but was new to two-headed dragon sealed, and the staff made the whole thing easy. they were super patient, walked me through the format stuff, and answered all my questions without making me feel out of the loop. the space is clean and comfy, the selection is solid, and there’s just a really friendly vibe overall. if you’re looking to try a new format or get into something different, this is a great place to do it. came in a little unsure, left excited to come back. highly recommend.”
