“This is a mid sized board game/rpg store here in Eugene. This review is solely for the retail location, as I haven't used the neighboring community gaming room. They've got a lot of variety, but a recent experience here really soured me on this local business. I had bought some card protectors for $3.50, and realized later they were the incorrect size. I hadn't remembered to get the receipt when I bought them the previous day but I didn't imagine that would be a big issue, the item I was planning on exchanging for was the exact same price and brand just in a slightly different size. In addition to that, the item I was returning was unopened. The cashier refused to consider a simple exchange of an unopened three and a half dollar item without a receipt according to the internal return policy, which I didn't see posted in the store. I like to support small businesses because they treat me like a person, that was not my experience in this store. What's most unfortunate is that I've been shopping here for years but will reconsider that if this is how they've decided to treat people here. Even Wal-Mart is happy to process exchanges without a receipt, I just don't understand why they went this far to deny a routine request that wouldn't have cost them anything. It's a frustrating and unnecessary experience that I would expect from a corporate chain, not a small business.”
