The store has a fantastic selection of games that’s thoughtfully organized and curated by play type, which made it easy to find something new for my play group. As someone not from the area, I really appreciated how approachable and welcoming everything felt. I was lucky enough to chat with the owner, who shared great insights on a few game recommendations along with some interesting backstory on their development. That personal touch made the experience even better. I even picked up some excellent local food recommendations while I was there! I highly recommend House Rules to anyone—whether you’re deeply invested in gaming or just casually curious. It is a great space with great people, and well worth the visit.”

“I came a 1-2 weeks ago, heard a lot of great things about this place from TikTok, so I wanted to check it out. Great selection, and love how they had an area to demo some of their most popular board games, as well as their board game menu. Docking off a star b/c the worker at checkout seemed like the most disinterested person to work at a board game store. After going to a few game board stores, I'm used to meeting engaging staff who share recommendations and are overall delighted to help. The kid at the front was very dimissive, had no idea how to answer any of my questions, and just wanted to be on his phone. Not a good impression.”
