“Star Comics is hands-down one of the nicest, most welcoming comic book stores I’ve visited in Lubbock. The moment you walk in, you notice how thoughtfully laid out and organized everything is. it’s easy to find exactly what you’re looking for, whether it’s a popular series or a hidden gem. They carry an incredibly diverse selection of items. As a huge fan of Daniel Warren Johnson, I was thrilled to see they practically have an entire section dedicated to his work. From single issues to various collected volumes, they really cater to both casual readers and hardcore collectors. Beyond that, they have a solid manga selection, which makes it easy to explore new stories or continue long-running series. I also love going here to pick up the weekly comic releases. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, making the shopping experience enjoyable every single time. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other stores in Lubbock, and they’re always adding new items to their inventory, so if you visit regularly, you’re bound to find something exciting in their boxes. Overall, Star Comics has become my go-to spot for comics. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just starting to explore the world of graphic novels this store offers a welcoming environment, a fantastic selection, and excellent customer service.
