“If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I'm just starting to build my foundation in comic book collecting and have been looking for a spot to call my home shop. Alpha Comics is exactly that. Brianna was at the counter today and she was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and didn't rush me at all. We had a great conversation, and when I mentioned that I would probably miss Free Comic Book Day tomorrow because of work, she actually went out of her way to let me grab a free comic early so I wouldn't miss out. She even threw in a free bag and board for it! It's rare to find a place that genuinely cares about new collectors and treats you with this much respect. I've also had great interactions with Xavier here in the past. This is officially my home comic shop. If you want a great vibe and top-tier customer service, this is the spot. Thank you so much for making me feel welcomed! You have a new regular ♾️”

“I passed through here with my husband on a road trip to stretch our legs and now I wish we were locals. This is easily the most organized comic shop I’ve been in and I’ve been frequenting comic shops for 15 years. Both employees were very kind, friendly, and helpful. We also looked through their pokemon cards - they have a limited selection of bulk cards and a few individually priced singles. Even with the current hype/cards being in high demand, I was still able to find a few miscellaneous cards to add to my collection. I will absolutely come back if we’re in the area again!”

“Very friendly people. Heard that Marvel was doing a collaboration and releasing a new Ultraman comic, so wanted to check it not. Not the biggest place and limited back copies, but its a good little place. I have talked with them before at some of the Galaxy-Cons that have come to Richmond. Very bright place, decent supply of new released comics. Looks like they might do some card games or D&D role playing here. My son grabbed a new comic and my daughter picked a graphic novel out. Good place maybe to get a subscription service. When I was walking out few guys walked in and they seemed to know who they were and said they would grab there comics. Great little local place, worth checking them out and support a small local biz!”

“This is the first comic shop Ive been to since moving to Richmond. The staff was super helpful and nice. There were conversations happening between the customers, which is cool because in my hometown the comic shops are usually pretty quiet. There's a good selection of comics/manga/cards etc. the comics are pretty bagged and boarded, so if you're a reseller you shouldn't have to worry too much about those spine nicks or anything like that. Overall great store.”
