DJ's Sportscards

“Been meaning to make this review for a while. Collected cards as a kid and then grew out of it for most of my adult life, until my nephew got into the hobby and we happened upon this place one day recently. To say this place is awesome is an understatement. What makes DJ's so special, outside of the great selection of sports cards (And Pokemon cards), as well as the amazing memorabilia sections. Is the environment they've created. People from all walks of life just hanging out in a card shop in perfect cohesion, some sitting and chatting with fellow customers about the world and the weather, some just sitting quietly sorting through boxes of cards, and some wandering about the store talking to various employees about things as simple as Topps inventory, or as in depth as life and family. There is a space for everyone here. It reminds me of book stores or magazine stands when I was growing up, well before digital screens were in everyone's pocket and before everyone was communicating via little chat boxes on them. This is one of the few "analog" spaces left in the area. A place where strangers can all congregate in peace and like mindedness, and dig for treasures or just be around your fellow person doing an activity, a place to bring the next generation of kids to go somewhere where they aren't looking into screens, and a place to just kill a little bit of time before work or whatever you have going on. Nobody is pressuring any sales, nobody is ushering you out the door, just a great place to exist for a moment and take a breath. It's what is missing in this world, a throwback, if you will, where people still talked to strangers cause under this roof, they're a fellow collector or shopper or friend. So, big endless thanks to DJ's, from all the adults who love you and all the kiddos who you're raising in the area and giving a safe space to be themselves. You have a customer for life, as long as my fingers can sift through cards, I'll keep coming back!”

“It’s a great shop! Was able to make a trade and move 3 of my cards I didn’t want anymore and picked up 6 new ones. The staff was helpful and easy to work with. Wish I wasn’t on a time crunch or I would have been there for hours just looking at everything. Next time I’m up in Seattle I will be going back! The owner was super nice and easy to talk to as well. Shop was super organized and easy to see all different cards in there case.”

“Visiting from Nashville! Had an amazing experience in DJ’s. Was able to snag a bunch of classic SuperSonics cards and a PSA Gary Payton auto! Store was pretty busy, but every employee was either busy pricing or helping a customer. DJ helped me when I had questions on some sets which I appreciated. I also watched him help a father and son pick out a hobby box of baseball and letting them know specifics like “if you’re looking for this player, get this…, etc.”I asked another employee if I could offer a price on a slab, and he quickly pointed me to DJ and another senior employee I could discuss a possible deal. Followed on IG and will be buying online in the future!”

“Everything about the shop is fantastic. I went in to trade a collection. DJ took about an hour to assess it. I spent the hour looking through the inventory, and there was good variety of cards by sport, year, and pricepoint. The other staff members were super helpful with finding the type of stuff I wanted. DJ gave an offer that was very fair and I left with some great cards!”
