“Had a negative experience with whoever was running the tournament. Paid in and got a sealed deck for a game, opened it went through my cards. My friend didn't get into the tournament because it only sat 6 people and it was full, one guy didn't show up but they gave the spot to a regular that was hanging out. Most of the other stuff I've seen for bandai it goes to raffle but they said first come first served which is their prerogative I guess. Well I didn't want to make the kid sit there and he wanted to eat. So I told him I'd drop and we could get pizza. The shop keep said I couldn't do that and that he'd take my purchase back. I let him know that I already opened the deck and went through the cards. He said he would process the refund and take the deck from me. I asked him if would physically take the cards from me? My friend said he would be fine and that I should just play. To not escalate things further I just listened to my friend and played the game, lost on purpose and left as fast as I could. Will never return, will share this experience any time someone mentions Guild Pact. EDIT on my review. One of the owners reached out and we had a good conversation, I appreciated the follow up and the fact that they took the time to reach out to me. I've adjusted my review to show my appreciation. “GP has some of the most honest owners I have ever met, they try to treat everyone fairly when it comes to limited product. Everything I have seen them do in regards to TO is to ensure that rules are followed per the rules given by the games mfg. If you ever want to learn how to play a game Mihai, Devin and Sean are always game to teach or figure it out with you!”

“Late to putting this up, but I need to so people know to take their business elsewhere. Couple of months ago, showed up for a Gundam TCG event through Bandai with limited printing that was supposed to be lottery for waitlist player who missed the sign up period and were entered after capacity. Was between me and one other guy that was waitlisted since someone bailed. Instead of doing lotto style per the instructions of the publisher, they said "this guy's been sitting here longer, and he's a regular, so he gets it." I was still early and the other guy was sitting there while I was participating at another store's release event, that didn't conflict. I might've been someone who would make the trip out to this store regularly if I had at least been given the proper grace that the publisher expected their sellers to give, but was given a metaphorical middle finger from the clerk at the counter, who also had about the worst attitude I've seen in the game stores anywhere within a 60 mile radius of Madison. Won't be going here EVER unless that guy no longer works there and/or this grievance gets addressed by any of their ownership. Side note, the store was pretty filthy, which did not make for a very welcoming experience. Closest to an uncleaned gas station bathroom I've seen in a game store in years. If I could give 0 stars on Google, I would.”
