“Such a great spot, and I love the name! I've been looking for a good game store near Modesto and I found it! Staff was friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful. Felt great to chat with them, and unlike a lot of stores I have visited elsewhere, there was no immediate bias towards specific companies, manufacturers or products.. none of the 'if we don't have it, it isn't important' that I have run into with several other smaller footprint stores. Bravo guys, it's awesome. Keep it up :)”

“My partner and I have been coming here off and on since they moved to this location. At first we were drawn to the location because we were apart of the dnd craze that wanted to learn and play. We read in their website that they are “Beginner Friendly” and I wish that was the case. We paid in advance for a beginner friendly table to be taught how to create a character and how to utilize the character sheet etc. that’s how new we were. When we got there the person who was the DM (a lady who just had a baby) didn’t want to go through the teaching process. None of the other employees wanted to as they were either busy or were running other tables. They asked a teen who was familiar with their staff and after only a 2 minute rushed explanation we were abandoned with more confusion than we had came into the building with. After that the dm gave us random characters and we got on with it. The next few times we paid and signed up to play was utterly unprofessional. When we showed up they had no clue why we were there as they claimed that our table had been cancelled days before but we were never contacted. So they gave us some coins. The next time we showed up for a paid table there was no one who showed up because they all cancelled and we were still not contacted so we were given coins and had to guilt trip my partner into playing because the employee didn’t want us upset. After we gave up on the dnd side of things we noticed they offered what seemed like classes for painting miniatures. Before showing to the paid events we asked for clarification if we would have help learning techniques of any kind that you would see on YouTube etc and they said yes that’s what we were paying for. That never happened. The only thing taught to us was how to use a “Wet Pallet” and that literally just needs to add water. We continued going and would ask for help on how to paint but was never actually taught anything. We then learned it was more of a hangout you paid to attend with perks of using their equipment but minus the teaching. Which we would have been cool with too if that was what was told from the beginning. We would come as much as possible because we come from another city and can’t always make it. The way we felt as far as community was odd. My partner and I felt it was for lack of better terms “high school clique” mentality. We were always “welcomed but never felt acknowledged or actually welcomed. The only reason I would potentially come back is for their paint as they seem to be lower priced than some of the other shops I’ve been to. Other than that our experience of how we were treated after an art show we were invited to was the last nail in the coffin. The discord felt more like if you haven’t been there since the start that it was pretty useless as a newcomer. If you aren’t an established vendor or someone who’s been going there since before they moved locations then you pretty much aren’t truly welcomed. I’d rather spend a few extra bucks elsewhere and have more professionalism. Only reason for a 3 and not lower is because my partner and I made the best out of what we were given and were able to make some sorta good memories.”

“I used to love to come to this place until I seen the owners vibe change like the prices .. I thought maybe that’s just how he was just emotionless so I thought nothing of it 🤷🏻♂️ till I seen how he interacted with other customers in a more positive way , mind you even tho I would Greet him & say thank you have a nice day before I leave I felt like I was being looked at different . Not even getting to how bad it is when he answers the phone he’ll blatantly answer No before id finish asking the question sadly”
