“The Comic Book Shop on Division is one of those places that can absolutely eat an hour of your day without you noticing. As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series, I’m always paying attention to places with strong visual personality and imagination, and this shop definitely has that energy the moment you walk in. It looks fairly small from the outside, but once you get inside, the store just keeps opening up. The layout is clean and organized without feeling sterile, so it’s easy to wander around and suddenly realize you’ve been looking through collectibles for way longer than intended. There’s a strong comic selection, but the Japanese models, toys, and collectibles really caught my attention. Some of the older designs brought back a ridiculous amount of nostalgia. I kept running into things and thinking, “Wait…I remember that.” The Pokémon section is solid too, but honestly the model and collectible side is what really separates the store from a typical comic shop. I also came across titles and concepts I had never seen before, which is usually a sign the store goes deeper than just carrying the obvious mainstream inventory. The staff was super friendly and easy to talk to, and the whole atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. Really fun shop with a deep selection and plenty of unexpected things to discover.”

“There hasn’t been a time where I’ve gone in and not left satisfied. All the staff is friendly (they rotate through all comic book store locations), and very helpful with any questions I might have. A quarter of the store is entire shelves full of comic books, which is fun to browse through. They also have consistently charged fair prices for tcg products. Which I appreciate.”
