The shops, in detail
Merlyn's — downtown since 1980
★ 4.5 (579 Google reviews) · 15 W Main Ave
A downtown fixture since 1980, Merlyn's carries Magic and Lorcana alongside its comics wall under longtime owner John Waite, who managed the shop from 1983 before buying it outright. Old-school in the best sense.
The Gamers Haven — Spokane's competitive table
★ 4.7 (545 Google reviews) · 1403 W Broadway Ave
The city's most serious Magic room — its recurring competitive Commander tournaments are tracked on national results sites, a distinction few stores this size can claim. The destination for players who keep score.
Uncle's Games — roots back to 1978
★ 4.7 (263 Google reviews) · 404 W Main Ave
Tracing its lineage to 1978's Book and Game Co., Uncle's grew into a statewide Washington chain; the downtown Spokane store keeps Magic and TCG product alongside the deepest board-game wall in the city.
Game World — the Pokémon volume stop
★ 4.2 (725 Google reviews) · 8701 N Division St C
One of Spokane's last local video-game stores runs a TCG-first card business — Pokémon, Magic, and Yu-Gi-Oh! singles and sealed with organized play, open every day on North Division.
The Comic Book Shop (Northtown) — the tournament floor
★ 4.6 (929 Google reviews) · 4750 N Division St #2130
The games-forward half of a 30-plus-year Spokane comics chain, the Northtown Mall store hosts regular Magic and HeroClix tournaments in its back gathering area — and carries the city's biggest review base.
Giant Nerd Books — the unexpected buylist
★ 4.7 (453 Google reviews) · 607 W Garland Ave
A curated Garland District used bookstore that happens to run the only confirmed buying counter on this list — worth knowing when you're thinning a collection, even if cards are a side note to the sci-fi shelves.
